The University of Dian Nuswantoro (Udius) has been established cooperation with foreign universities. Monday, January 1st 2017, Udinus has signed the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between Udinus with the University of Technical Malaysia Melaka (UTEM) in the Rector’s courtroom building G, 1st floor. The Udinus Rector, Prof. Dr. Ir. Edi Udinus Noersasongko, M.Kom and the Dean of the Faculty of Technology and Communications UTEM, Prof. Dr. Burairah bin Hussin, accompanied by Prof Dr. Nanna Suryana as the Director of the Center of Excellence UTEM, signed the MOA.
Since 2008, Udinus and UTEM has been cooperated in the program the Student Mobility (exchange student) and Joint Degree for S2 of Computer Science. "We hope not only for student mobility or joint degree course, but also we can add the fast track program and joint research, which will soon be realized. One of our achievements is when the UTEM alumni who return to Udinus, could raise their campus and share the culture between Indonesia and Malaysia, "said Burairah.
The Fast Track program is where the students can take 3 years for S1 in Udinus, and then when they are in the 7th semester, they could move to UTEM to complete the thesis. The thesis will be tested in Udinus with the UTEM, and when the students passed, they will get 2 certificates, i.e. from Udinus and from UTEM. Furthermore, the students will move to UTEM for studying the S2 program for 1.5 years. So the students will get S1 (Bachelor Degree) and S2 (Master Degree) of Udinus and UTEM.
"We will immediately send 5-10 students primarily from International Class or who have participated in the selection, to follow this Fast Track program," said Dr. Abdul Syukur as the Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science (FIK) Udinus. The Fast Track program will be implemented Technical Information’s students and Information System’s students. (* PR)
