E-Gamelanku is a word speech and joyful expression at once a sense of â€śhandarbeniâ€ť by someone, when finding stuff that is long gone and forgotten. The goods was Javanese Gamelan noble heritage of the Indonesian ancestors.
E-Gamelanku is one of the results of National Strategy Grant Research that funded by DIKTI in 2009 and 2010 with a treaty number 390/SP2H/PP/DP2M/VI/2009. Its is developed by Dian Nuswantoro University of Semarang (UDINUS) LPPM Research Team. Object of the Gamelan instruments and sound recordings taken from Surakarta Lokananta Gamelan of Kyai Sri Kuncoro Mulyo. This product got the Arts Grant and performed in CYCU Taiwan in June 2010 and in July 2010 in Singapore.
Gamelan is one of the nationâ€™s original cultural skills of Javanese, who was born long before other nations cultural influence to Indonesia. Because of its authenticity, Gamelan has become widely known among Javanese. Almost every person in the Java can tell whether an instrument is Javanese Gamelan or not. Philosophically Javanese Gamelan is an integral part of Javanese life. It is because of the philosophy of life which is associated with the Javanese cultural arts such as Javanese Gamelan and closely relates to the religion embraced.
Dian Nuswantoro University created digital education comic that tells the stories with the noble values of the Indonesian culture. The idea of making this comic is based on the sense of responsibility to assist the government in imparting character education to the younger generation. This comic tells the story of four children, Udin, Dian, Nunus, and Toro as the main characters. All of them have different backgrounds, such as Udin from Javanese family or Nunus from Papua.
