Dwinta Yuka Sulisya, an Informatics student at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus), actively participated in organizational activities to better her future. She is currently a member of the Informatics Student Association (HMTI) at Udinus, by joining the association, Yuka could gather many benefits including new friends, a platform to exchange ideas, and being able to do many useful things.
Yuka shared that actively participating in organizations was essential. Various organizational activities could enhance her teamwork and brainstorming abilities. In addition, she also got the opportunity to build creative and beneficial projects with her colleagues.
“I think being active in organizational activities will grant me positive impacts and shape me into a better individual who could compete in the industry,” Yuka uttered.
During her membership in the Informatics Student Association (HMTI), Yuka shared activities that could benefit the general public. One of those activities was the Village Coaching and Empowerment Holistic Program (PHP2D) conducted by 13 HMTI members. The program served as a platform for students to assist farmers in Pagergunung Village, Bulu Sub-district, Temanggung Regency.
“It was indeed an impressive experience to be able to observe the location with my own eyes. I also got the opportunity to introduce myself to farmers and give direct assistance to the villagers in Pagergunung. The Village Coaching and Empowerment Holistic Program (PHP2D) was truly among the most unforgettable memories in my whole life,” she revealed.
During the Village Coaching and Empowerment Holistic Program (PHP2D), Yuka, a student of the 2018 cohort, was appointed to the Public Relations and Marketing division. She also mentioned her roles in this program such as being a communicator between village officials and working partners along with publishing content on social media.
“This division aimed to educate the farmers regarding digital marketing by using an app which was created by the Informatics Student Association (HMTI) named SiAdit, that would be managed by local youths,” Yuka, born on October 16th, 1999 in Semarang, explained.
Despite actively participating in organizations and having tons of activities, Yuka, a member of the Strategic Study Division in HMTI, did not just abandon her studies. By prioritizing assignments over organizational activities, Yuka could maintain her satisfying study results.
“The environment at Udinus is very supportive for me to study well, consequently being active in both campus and organizational activities is not a difficult thing to do. As a matter of fact, I could earn both soft skills and hard skills in balance,” concluded the student who won third place at the 2021 Software and Hardware Fair Hi-Technology event.
