Dinda Putri Lestari, a standout athlete representing Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) in the field of Taekwondo, proudly secured a gold medal at the XVIII National Student Sports Week (NSSW) 2023. Dinda's remarkable achievement adds another triumph to the Contingent of the Central Java Province.

In the final stage of the Women's Under 73Kg Kyorugi category in the Taekwondo sport branch, Dinda secured victory against her opponent from the Special Capital Region of Jakarta. With a remarkable total of eight achievements, comprising 5 gold medals, 1 silver medal, and 2 bronze medals, the Central Java Region emerged as the overall winner in the Taekwondo sports branch. This competitive event took place at the Rudy Resnawan Sports Building not long ago. 

Currently, the Central Java Contingent is standing in second place with a total of 37 medals consisting of 13 golds, 15 silvers, and 9 bronze medals. The national sports competition was conducted for 10 days starting from November 12th, until November 22nd, 2023. This year, South Kalimantan becomes the host of the National Student Sports Week 2023.

"This stands as my greatest achievement, representing both the Central Java Region and Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus). I led my team of athletes to win the championship in the Taekwondo sports branch. Thank you for all of the support from the whole academic community of Udinus,” Dinda expressed her gratitude post-competition.

The Vice-Chancellor III of the Student Affairs Sector, Dr. Kusni Ingsih, M.M., was happy with the achievement brought by Dinda Putri Lestari at the 2023 National Student Sports Week. The dedication shown by this undergraduate student in the Management program at Udinus was amazing, showcasing relentless determination. Dr. Kusni is hoping that athletes from other sports branches at Udinus will deliver outstanding performances as well. The Student Affairs team at Udinus is actively supporting and witnessing their athletes' participation in the National Student Sports Week.

"We hope that Udinus athletes participating in the Sports Week event will bring home numerous gold medals. Once again, we extend our congratulations to Dinda Putri Lestari for achieving a gold medal," expressed Dr. Kusni with pride. 

As for the overall event, the National Student Sports Week in South Kalimantan features 16 sports branches, with the Central Java Region competing in 15 of them. In comparison to achievements made during the previous competition, the Central Java Region secured the third and second positions.
