Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) keeps building its commitment to partnering with Multimedia University (MMU) Malaysia. The commitment was marked by a collaboration that has been running for 21 years, with the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed in 2007.
The newest collaboration was signed in 2023 at MMU, for the partnership of the 2023-2028 period. Recently, Prof. Dr. Pulung Nurtantio Andono, S.T., M.Kom., went to visit MMU after being inaugurated as the Rector of Udinus. Prior to this, in 2023, Prof. Pulung also visited MMU to sign the Memorandum of Understanding. At that time, he was the Vice Rector IV of Research and Partnership Affairs at Udinus.
On that occasion, representatives from Udinus were welcomed by the President of MMU, Prof. Dato Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, Ph.D. He was accompanied by the vice presidents and deans from all faculties at MMU.
During his visitation on Thursday, February 20, 2025, Prof. Pulung revealed that the visitation was among the outputs of the partnership, namely, Visiting Professor. The event could also serve as a way to further deepen their bonds, allowing their relationship to be harmonious. Through this harmony, both institutions can uphold the Tri Dharma tenets.
“This whole time both institutions have been productively collaborated. This collaboration also entailed the form of education, and five of our faculty members have earned their doctoral degrees at MMU. This collaboration can also potentially support the QS World University Rankings (WUR), as well as collaboration in writing Scopus-indexed journal articles,” Prof. Pulung uttered.

In addition, this collaboration also offered scholarships to pursue postgraduate degrees in both institutions. At the end of the discussion, both universities conveyed their commitment to further strengthening the collaboration in many aspects to achieve common goals.
Meanwhile, Prof. Dato Mazliham, the President of MMU, also welcomed Udinus to further enhance the harmonious relationship of both institutions. According to him, there have been many seminar and webinar collaborations that were beneficial for both Udinus and MMU.
“Hopefully, this partnership will be able to be utilized to its fullest capacity, as Udinus is focusing on the improvement of its Tri Dharma tenets. Through this collaboration, both Udinus and MMU are expected to keep improving and bringing positive impacts to the development of both Indonesia and Malaysia,” the President of MMU revealed.
