Demi memanfaatkan tenaga air secara maksimal maka dilakukan workshop mengenai Hydro Power Technology yang dilaksanakan pada Jumat (11\/10) lalu di Auditorium Gedung H lantai 7 Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\t&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\tWorkshop tersebut merupakan serangkaian kegiatan &lsquo;2019 World Class Professor&rsquo;. Yang merupakan kerja sama antara Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) Surabaya, Udinus Semarang dan juga Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) Yogyakarta. Materi yang disampaikan di Udinus merupakan Hydro Power Technology, atau energi listrik yang berasal dari air. Workshop tersebut dihadiri oleh Prof. Eduard Muljadi, Ph.D, selaku pembicara dari Aubrun University, Alabama, Amerika serikat. Narasumber tersebut sekaligus editor dari IEEE Transactions on Energi Conversion yang indeksnya sangat tinggi dan berkelas international. Dengan dihadiri oleh 20 dosen dari berbagai perguruan tinggi dan juga kurang lebih 200 mahasiswa. &ldquo;Harapan kami dari workshop ini adalah agar seluruh peserta tidak hanya menjadi pekerja, namun bisa menjadi wirausahawan yang menghasilkan tenaga listrik tersebut untuk dijual agar menjadi lebih bermanfaat,&rdquo; ungkap Prof. Eduard.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\t&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\tPenyelenggara utama dari kegiatan tersebut adalah ITS Surabaya, namun Udinus dan UGM digandeng untuk bersama-sama menyelenggarakan workshop. Untuk Udinus mendapatkan tema Hydro Power Technology, ITS mendapatkan tema Photovoltaics (PV) Technology atau energi listrik menggunakan tenaga matahari, dan UGM Wind Power Technology atau energi listrik yang menggunakan tenaga angin.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\t&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\tSementara itu, menurut Kepala Prodi Teknik Elektro Dr. M Ary Heryanto, M.Eng, di Indonesia pengembangan energi listrik menggunakan tiga sumber tersebut sudah bisa terpenuhi, baik dari air, matahari dan juga angin di beberapa daerah sudah melimpah. &ldquo;Seyogyanya, peserta workshop khususnya para mahasiswa untuk ke depannya mampu memanfaatkan ketiga tenaga tersebut, supaya bisa dijadikan energi yang brmanfaat untuk masyarakat,&rdquo; tuturnya.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\tDr. Ary juga menegaskan bahwa pengembangan energi listrik menggunakan air dapat dilakukan dalam kapasitas debit air yang besar maupun yang kecil. &ldquo;Bisa dari air PLTU dengan debit air besar, maupun yang debit air kecil atau Mikro Hydro,&rdquo; tegasnya.
