\n\tInitiating a business is a dream possessed by many people; however, an entrepreneur must own the skills and knowledge to establish a business. Through these skills and knowledge, Bagas Prayitno, an alumnus of the Undergraduate Communication Science Study Program at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus), established a photography vendor known as \u2018Aura\u2019 while working as a Freelance Videographer at the same time.<\/p>\n

\n\tBagas claimed that it was not an easy matter to establish a business in the middle of pandemic times. His business saw its dawn during his career as a Freelance Videographer in 2016; at that time, he worked at an online news media. Through experiences he had gone through, Bagas opened his wedding and pre-wedding photography vendor.<\/p>\n
\n\t <\/p>\n
\n\tHis business has undergone rough times, particularly during the pandemic times. \u201cI have a hard time getting clients nowadays; however, I will not give up. With the knowledge I gathered on campus within my palm, my business is going to survive by giving offers so that it can run smoothly,\u201d he revealed.<\/p>\n
\n\t <\/p>\n
\n\tReducing the number of employees and conducting business strategies are anxiety-inducing activities for Bagas. However, he faces those anxious feelings using the knowledge he gathered on campus. There were various courses on campus that he normally applies in his business encompassing lobbying techniques, marketing strategy, business communication, and entrepreneurship. He stated that those courses helped him negotiate with his clients as negotiating requires communication competence. Furthermore, the Public Speaking course has also benefited him in pursuing his career both as a freelancer and a photography vendor.<\/p>\n
\n\t <\/p>\n
\n\tBagas, a native of Semarang, explained that the knowledge he gathered at Udinus could open the opportunity for youths to initiate a business The knowledge and practice conducted around the campus could serve as a learning program for new entrepreneurs with the desire to establish a business. Through those learning programs, Bagas could learn how to choose the market share and consumer needs, which is beneficial for developing his current enterprise.<\/p>\n
\n\t <\/p>\n
\n\tBagas encouraged youths to utilize their knowledge and experience to their fullest to open job opportunities even wider. \u201cWatch and learn. You shall not be afraid to try because being afraid leads to nothing,\u201d Bagas concluded.<\/p>\n
