The undergraduate study program of the Japanese Language hosted a public lecture featuring Sasaki Hiroki, A staff member from the Japanese Embassy. The lecture aimed to provide insights into the post-pandemic working environment in Japan.<\/p>\n
The event took place in the G.3.6 and G.3.7 Rooms of the G Building Udinus. Moreover, numerous students majoring in the Japanese language had the valuable opportunity to interact with Sasaki Hiroki, gaining valuable experiences. They were discussing the living condition as well as the workplace environment in the land of cherry blossoms. <\/p>\n
Sasaki Hiroki explained that the demands on workers in Japan had increased since the post-COVID-19 period. For the record, around 340 thousand workers were needed, but in reality, only 80 to 90 thousand were filled. Currently, Indonesia could supply around 9400 people to work in Japan. Not only that, through the public lecture, Sasaki also explained in detail about the working environment in Japan.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe conditions of young employees in Japan are very little compared to Indonesia that increase gradually. Currently, Japanese companies are seeking workers from foreign countries to meet the demand for the desired employees,\u201d explained Sasaki during his interview.<\/p>\n
Sasaki also praised the undergraduate students of Japanese Language for being able to communicate in Japanese fluently. In his opinion, those students would reach the N4 level easily.<\/p>\n
\u201cI saw the interaction regarding the topic. The students of Udinus were able to speak Japanese fluently. This is good and it will ease them to qualify for the requirement to work in Japan,\u201d added Sasaki.<\/p>\n
Other than inviting Sasaki Hiroki, there was also Japan Indonesia Academic Program Ltd or JIPA, as one of the partners with the Japanese Language Major at Udinus. JIPA also provided some information about the internship program in Japan to all of the attendants.<\/p>\n
Dr. Bayu Aryanto S.S., M.Hum., the head of the Undergraduate Japanese Language Study Program, expressed his hope for the Japanese Language students. He mentioned that the partnership between Udinus and JIPA dates back to 2017, facilitating the dispatch of numerous students to work in Japan. Just last year, a total of 7 students undertook an internship program in Japan.<\/p>\n
\u201cAround this time, there are also 7 students who are waiting for their departure. In Japan, the Udinus students who undertake the internships will get direct supervision from the manager. Of course, the internship process can be converted into scores at Udinus as it aligned with the Freedom of Learning Independent Campus (MBKM) program which is initiated by the government,\u201d concluded Dr. Bayu.
