The platform was provided in the form of a contest entitled <i>The 2023 Information System Competition<\/i> (Inscom) hosted recently.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\t<span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">There were two categories at the contest, including data mining and UI\/UX design. In the data mining category, participants had to solve the designated case studies. Whereas in the UI\/UX design category, participants were obliged to design UI\/UX from creative and innovative business ideas. The 2023 Inscom was themed \u2018Building a Creative Digital Economy and Social Life in The Era of Technology.\u2019<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\t<span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Syafiq Insan Permana, the Chief of the Information Student Association, mentioned that the theme of the event fitted the current condition, particularly in technological aspects. This, in turn, would push mankind to come up with different innovations as days pass.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\t<span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">\u201cThese days, every aspect of life often involves technology in order for that aspect to keep running. For this reason, mankind must be able to interact and collaborate with computers,\u201d he uttered.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\t<span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Syafiq also explained that there were two stages at the contest, including the elimination and final stages. The elimination stage was conducted by selecting proposals proposed by participants. Then, the selected proposals would later be presented in the final stage, with the judges assessing the presentation using specific criteria. In terms of mechanism, both categories did have differences.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\t<span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">\u201cIn the data mining category, the elimination and final stages were hosted online using the Zoom Meeting platform. While the UI\/UX design category was held online only during the elimination stage, with the final stage being hosted on the fourth floor of the H building,\u201d he explained.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\t<span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Through the 2023 Inscom, Dr. Arry Maulana Syarif S.S., M.Kom., the Head of the Information System Department, hoped for the Information System Student Association to keep hosting favorable events, both for students and the general public. Moreover, he also revealed that students of the Computer Science Faculty, particularly those in the Information System Program, could become more skilled in handling technological problems by participating in this contest.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\t<span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">\u201cHopefully, students participating in this event could someday contribute to the advancements of technological aspects by providing innovative ideas for the good of this nation,\u201d he concluded.
