On that occasion, he shared his knowledge and experience with dozens of high school students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event was held at the auditorium located on the seventh floor of the H building at Udinus, with Dr. Ahmad Zainul Fanani, S.Si., the Vice Dean I of the Computer Science Faculty, opening the whole procession. During his opening speech, he stated that the <em>Inspiring Talk<\/em> was an attempt by Udinus to provide a platform for students to learn the field of animation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe also have the commitment to facilitate young animators to learn directly from experts. Previously, the Animation Department has also been accredited as Excellent, which brings this event to a positive light,\u201d he revealed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Khafiizh Hastuti, S.Kom., M.Kom., the Head of the Animation Department at Udinus, expressed her appreciation to Julian Saputra as the speaker at the <em>Inspiring Talk<\/em> Seminar. According to her, Julian\u2019s experience as an animator at Sengklekman would inspire both high school and college students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHopefully, this seminar can facilitate young animators to learn directly under the expert. Julian\u2019s presence in our seminar shows that local animators have the means to compete against other national and international animation industries, as well as become icons,\" Khafiizh revealed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She also added that the Animation Department at Udinus would always be committed to educating future animators. This commitment is embodied through an excellent educational program and collaborations with practitioners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThrough this seminar, we want high school students to not only get inspiration but also motivation to create more creative works that would boost the quality of the animation industry in Indonesia,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Sharing Knowledge About Animation<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Julian Saputra, an animator at Sengklekman, shared his experiences as an animator at the <em>Fazzio Inspiring Talk<\/em>. Julian explained various aspects of animation, including <em>Intellectual Properties<\/em> as a concept, and how to make animated works to be recognizable to the public. According to him, every animated character must have a certain uniqueness to them. This uniqueness could lie in the character\u2019s name, design, and background.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIf your character\u2019s silhouette is recognizable by many, it would mean that your character is unique and interesting. Creating such a thing is improbable within a short amount of time, as it would require in-depth research,\u201d he emphasized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He also added that the supporting element was an important point to be designed. Julian gave examples of this using various popular cartoons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIconic settings are also important. For example, <em>SpongeBob<\/em> takes place underwater, and <em>Naruto<\/em> shows giant statues depicting the characters. These two shows are great examples as by seeing the background and setting alone, the audience would instantly recognize the show,\u201d he concluded. (Humas Udinus\/Alex.
