The Photography Workshop took place in the Auditorium on the seventh floor of the H building at Udinus on Thursday, November 28th, 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The workshop was a part of the 2024 Ilkom Art Competition. In addition, this event was an output of the Event Organizer course of the A15.9504 class. It was attended by 200 participants.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The workshop was hosted as a form of partnership between students and Nikon. It employed the theme of \u2018Capture the Moment and Share It Through Lenses,\u2019 which mainly highlighted photographs involving <em>human interest<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rahmawati Zulfiningrum, M.I.Kom., was also present and opened the whole procession.  During her opening speech, she stated that the workshop was a part of a bigger event, namely, the Ilkom Carnival.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe Ilkom Carnival will culminate on December 5 to 6, 2024. This carnival is expected to allow attendants to improve their skills and develop creativity,\u201d she hoped.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There were two speakers featured at the workshop, including Kevin Yung\u2014from the Indonesian Photo Art Federation\u2014and Ajie Lubis\u2014an Official Photographer at Nikon Indonesia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Breaking Down the Realm of Photography<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>The first session featured Kevin Yung. On that occasion, he introduced the Indonesian Photo Art Federation to all the attendants and its programs to facilitate the young generation in the photography field.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThese programs aim to improve their creativity and promote the creativity of young artists. In addition, these programs can also facilitate Photography Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) from various regions,\u201d he revealed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(SMEs) from various regions,\u201d he revealed.\nFollowing that, Ajie Lubis discussed the second session, \u2018Creating Great Human-Interest Photography.\u2019 Ajiw Lubis\u2014who was also the founder of the Ajie Lubis School of Photography\u2014mentioned that <em>human interest<\/em> <em>photography<\/em> was a technique that captured human lives and interactions with their surroundings. There are two main points in this technique, namely, <em>taking pictures<\/em> <em>and<\/em> <em>creating pictures.<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;<em>Taking pictures<\/em> means that we must wait for the <em>magic moment<\/em>. Meanwhile, <em>creating pictures.<\/em> means that we must make the <em>golden moment<\/em> . It is also important to note that photography always holds concepts,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore, Ajie also taught various techniques, including the rule of thirds, framing, and leading lines.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to learning materials, the attendants also learned how to take pictures using cameras.
