The discussion featured a speaker named Prof. Dr. Besral, SKM, M.Sc., from Universitas Indonesia, who discussed the importance of adaptive curriculum in the development of science and technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event was hosted in the multipurpose room on the fifth floor of the I building at Udinus. It was mainly attended by faculty members of the Health Science Faculty at Udinus. It was directly opened by the opening speech delivered by the Vice Rector of Academic Affairs at Udinus, Dr. Drs. Abdul Syukur, M.M.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During his opening speech, the Vice Rector of Academic Affairs at Udinus, <a href=\"https:\/\/portal.dinus.ac.id\/show_dsn\/YWQ4MzZhNjk2OWMxYmM2MzlkNmEyNmIxYjRmOTEwZmUtNS0zMDg4MDg0MDkwNTI1NDA0MDMw\">Dr. Drs. Abdul Syukur, M.M<\/a>., emphasized that curriculum update was a part of the commitment possessed by Udinus to improving education quality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe will always be committed to having our commitment align with the national academic standard, as well as the necessities in the industry,\" he uttered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Enny Rachmani, S.K.M., M.Kom., Ph.D., the Dean of the Health Science Faculty at Udinus, hoped for the discussion to serve as feedback for the faculty to design a better curriculum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, the discussion would also potentially allow the Health Science Faculty to design a new curriculum so it could align with industrial development and public needs, particularly in the digital health sector. Enny also emphasized the importance of implementing an OBE-based curriculum in Public Health education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Currently, there are numerous departments within the Health Science Faculty, including the Undergraduate Public Health Department, the Diploma of Medical Record and Information Department, and the Environmental Health Department, all of which were accredited as Excellent. Additionally, the faculty also houses two new departments, namely, the Graduate Public Health Department and the Applied Undergraduate Health Information Management Department.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThrough this discussion, we want to implement a curriculum based on Outcome Based Education (OBE). However, we would like to still uphold Udinus\u2019 identity altogether,\u201d the dean revealed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Going with the Flow of Science and Technology<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>During the discussion, Prof. Dr. Besral explained that the Public Health curriculum had been designed in such a way as to align with the digital public health sector and Outcome Based Education (OBE). According to him, the curriculum must be compatible with science and technology.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For that reason, the public health sector has essentially adopted the digital public health approach, centered around the Outcome Based Education (OBE). Furthermore, he added that the Public Health Department only needed to implement the curriculum developed by the IPTKMD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur curriculum has been designed based on the learning outcomes of graduates.
