The opening of the field assessment<\/a> was successfully hosted for the Undergraduate and Graduate Public Health Department at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus<\/a>). The event was a series of accreditation processes, which were conducted by the Independent Accreditation Board for Health Higher Education (LAM-PTKes) from April 21 to 23, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The field assessment was done by two assessors from LAM-PTKes, including Dr. Novrikasari, S.K.M., M.Kes., and Dr. Ajeng Tias Endarti, S.K.M.m M.Comm.Health. The event was opened with a speech delivered by the Rector of Udinus, Prof. Dr. Pulung Nurtantio Andono, S.T., M.Kom.<\/a>, which was accompanied by the Head of the Dian Nuswantoro Foundation, Lakshiputri Arnindita, S.Sos., M.M., as well as all vice-rectors and deans of all faculties at Udinus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event took place in the Meeting Room located on the first floor of the H building at Udinus, with the entire academic community in the Health Science Faculty at Udinus. The event started with the screening of a Safety Induction<\/em> video created by Public Health students at Udinus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During his opening speech, the rector stated that he fully supported the assessment processes to run well. He also expected both assessed departments, particularly the Graduate Public Health Department, which had only been established\u2014to achieve the highest possible accreditations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe hold the commitment to giving our best for these accreditation processes as a form of improving the quality of every department or study program. This support will later impact our students and alumni as provisions for their professional careers,\u201d he highlighted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The opening speech also featured a presentation of the faculty profile, delivered by Enny Rachmani, S.K.M., M.Kom., Ph.D. According to her, accreditations for both of these departments marked a pivotal point, as they served as a testament to the quality growth of public health education in both master\u2019s and bachelor\u2019s programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, one of the assessors, Dr. Novrikasasri, exclaimed that the assessment was based on nine different criteria, with four of them being vision-mission, management, students, and outputs of the assessed study programs or departments. She hoped that the results of this assessment could push the improvement in graduates\u2019 quality, who will eventually contribute to national health development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWith this accreditation, regardless of the results, hopefully, they can serve as a moment to improve the quality of both Undergraduate and Graduate Public Health Departments, so they can produce better graduates with prominent roles in enhancing the quality of public health in Indonesia,\u201d she concluded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to the opening speech, the field assessment also included several presentations from both departments, a visit to various facilities\u2014including, labs at Udinus, and various other medical utilities in health centers and hospitals, as well as interviews with faculty members, students, and alumni.
