CREA (C) TION BECOMES THE PLATFORM OF IMAGINATION FOR DKV STUDENTS OF DIAN NUSWANTORO UNIVERSITY
Design science branch that study the concept of communication and creative visual expression requires students to produce their work continuously. Students are required to create creative ideas by using the latest technology into the visual form.
29 exhibition booths for Final task (TA) of Visual Communication Design (DKV) student of Dian Nuswantoro University (Udinus) packed at DKV gallery in the first floor of H building.
The exhibition was held on Friday till Saturday on 28th until 29th of July and the theme for this year exhibition was Crea (c) tion "The artwork is action not only imagination". From that theme, the chairman of the exhibition explained that final task (TA) exhibition was a platform for students to express their imagination. "If the youth have a brilliant idea, they have to express it into an artwork, not just an idea" explained the chairman as well as the participant of the exhibition Alfira Putri Hapsari.
The exhibition was divided into several categories such as media promotion, branding, games, public service ads, and thesis review. Crea (c) tion was conducted by students of 2011 until 2013 who take TA. DKV Udinus has four courses such as Graphic Design, Advertising, Multimedia, Game and Animation. Each of these specializations will determine the selection of exhibition categories. "For students who choose Industrial Working Lecture (KKI), they do not have to participate in the TA exhibition because KKI has represented the final task," said Alfira.
One of the participants of the exhibition, Fikri Adiluhur Noor Hidayat chose Game specialization. He exhibited educational games for early childhood about environment care. "Through this game on smartphone I want to grow the environmental care on children in early childhood " said Fikri. He mentioned there were different games in the game. "There are three games in “Yuk Benahi” game which is Puzzle, Side Scrolling and Arcade".
