THE PRELIMINARY ROUND OF NETWORKING CHAMPIONSHIP OF CENTRAL JAVA AND YOGYAKARTA AT UDINUS
The ability to manage the network is a skill that the industrial world needs. Almost all industries are now using computerized systems and networks. Mikrotik is one of the network devices that now are widely used in the industry and operator of telecommunication.
On Saturday 23rd of September, 60 teams of vocational school (SMK) from various regions in Central Java and Yogyakarta gathered at the hall of E building on the 3rd floor, Dian Nuswantoro University (Udinus) campus in Semarang. Udinus hosted the preliminary round of Central Java and Yogyakarta region in the MikroTik Network championship among computer network engineering vocational school (TKJ) at national level in 2017. The championship was organized by the Association of Indonesian Internet Service Providers (APJII) and PT Citraweb Solusi Technologi in purpose to encouraging vocational students in Indonesia master the network science.
Valens Riyadi as The Chairman of the event admitted quite surprised by the test results in this region of Central Java and Yogyakarta. "The most remarkable thing is the written test, some could achieved up to 46 scores from 50 total scores given. This is the highest score that ever existed during the network championship, "said Valens after correcting the written test results. In addition to the written test, this preliminary round was closed with quiz show which divided in 3 waves.
SMKN 1 Cilacap, SMKN 2 Depok Sleman Yogyakarta and SMKN 7 Semarang managed to roll to the final round which will be held at the Royal Ballroom of Ambarrukmo hotel Yogyakarta 25th of October later. Dana Irfani a participant from SMKN 2 Depok Sleman claimed a little bit nervous in the early minutes of quiz show. "A little nervous minus the score. Alhamdulillah I could catch up, "said Dana. The three teams will compete other teams from 5 other provision areas such as Surabaya, Bandung, Jakarta, Pekanbaru, and Makassar. 18 teams will compete for a total prize of 60 million rupiah and a trophy from the Ministry of Communication and Informatics of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemkominfo RI).
