THE SELECTION OF BEBRAS COMPETITION 2017 AT UDINUS
In October 2017, Bebras volunteers from Dian Nuswantoro University (Udinus) introduced them self to teachers in Semarang City. Training on computational thinking was implemented in cooperation with the Government of Semarang City, and Undip.
Udinus’ Bebras volunteers were from the lecturers of the Faculty of Computer Science (FIK) who were Affandy, PhD, Ayu Pertiwi, S.Kom, MT, Nisa'ul Hafidhoh, MT, and many more.
The further action of the training activity was Bebras Indonesia Challenge 2017 with the theme of “Comprehensive Thinking Mini Challenge “which was held on Thursday 16th of November. The competition challenge was intended for elementary school, junior high school, and senior high school which already registered to Berbras. There were dozens of representatives from Semarang city, which consist of 26 elementary students, 14 junior high school students, and 6 senior high school students. The selection of the challenge in Semarang city was done in 3 places, which were Udinus, Undip and Unika. For the elementary and senior high school students, the challenge was held on the first floor of H building Udinus. "Bebras Competition challenge was followed by thousands of participants from various schools throughout Indonesia. This competition was only applied for schools which joined Bebras, "said Ayu Pertiwi, S.Kom, MT.
The competition was about mathematics and logic with different time of problem solving. 40 minutes were the time for elementary school level, while for junior high school and senior high school were 45 minutes. The winners of this competition will be announced on the website of bebras.or.id, after all the region are ranked. (* PR / ning)
