UDINUS TAKES 3 COOPERATION AGREEMENTS ON GRADUATE’S PROFESSIONAL VOW
Before the procession of toga rope removal, The Faculty of Health Dian Nuswantoro University (Udinus) took the vow of 128 graduates in Petra I Ballroom Noormans hotel, Semarang. Besides the inauguration of health workers, professional vow, and the release of the graduates, there was also the signing of Memory of Understanding (MoU) between The Faculty of Health Udinus and Gadjah Mada University (UGM) Vocational School.
The 128 graduate candidates were consist of 75 graduates from Diploma 3 of Medical Records and Health Information (RMIK) and 53 graduates from undergraduate program of Public Health. The inauguration was conducted by the Head of Public health service of Central Java Province, represented by Taufiqurrahman SKM., M.Kes as the head of health resources on Monday, 4th of December 2017.
Sugiarto SKM as the head of Central Java regional council of Professional Association of Indonesian Medical Recorders and Health Information (Pormiki) took the vow of graduate candidates from Diploma 3, while Dr.Guruh Dawn Shidik S.Kom., M.Cs. as the Dean of Faculty of Health Udinus took the vow of graduate candidates from undergraduate program of Public Health.
In this even, Udinus signed a cooperation contract with UGM Vocational School signed by the Dean of Faculty of Health, Udinus and the Dean of UGM Vocational School Wikan Sakarinto, S.T., M.Sc., P.hD. The cooperation covers curriculum development of RMIK education, human resources, and joint education at diploma level programs such as credit transfer system (CTS) or student exchange. Guruh said the purpose of this MoU is to develop The Faculty of Health Udinus. "The needs of graduate’s competent which rapidly changing must be responded immediately so The Faculty of Health Udinus can keep updated," said The Dean of Faculty of Health Udinus.
In scientific oration in front of the graduate candidates, Wikan expressed the horror in this disruptive era. Indonesia will be eroded and become a guest at its home if the young generation slacking in this disruptive era. "Competition is not only limited to the high GPA score, but also cognitive or soft skill," Wikan said. The vocational education system will produce competent graduates. This competent graduate will make Indonesia better.
Besides cooperate with UGM Vocational School, The Faculty of Health Udinus also cooperate with Semarang HIV and AIDS Control Commission and also cooperate with Indonesian Tuberculosis Eradication Association of Central Java Province. (* PR / mey)
