KAESANG INVITES UDINUS’ STUDENTS TO IMPROVE MICRO, SMALL, AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES THROUGH START UP BUSINESS
Successfully run 3 businesses, Kaesang Pangarep introduced a Start Up business in culinary field. madhang.id is an application which combines Start Up business and technology in purpose to unite the taste of homemade food and the user of the application.
After introduced madhang.id application at The City Hall of Semarang Citiy last Monday, Kaesang gave public lecture at Dian Nuswantoro University (Udinus) on Tuesday 12th of December 2017. In the public lecture entitled "Open Your Mind Creative Your Succes", Kaesang, the youngest son of the president of Indonesia shared his experiences in various business field in front of 400 students. Kaesang had run some Start Up business such as clothing line Sang Javas, Sang Pisang, board game Hompimpa and now, the last is Madhang.id. "Not all business that I run, run well, I had clothing line in 2014 and it went bankrupt" he said it with a joking tone and laughter.
Madhang.id is a collaboration between Kaesang and Udinus’ team. This application absorbs housewives as a tenant who can sell Indonesian homemade cuisine. "Before the launch of this application, madhang.id team had done a research. 90% of people answered that the most delicious food is a homemade food made by their mother “explained this president's son.
The Segmentation of madhang.id’s tenant are housewives who have or have not a shop. The requirements are only having their own kitchen, smart phone and willing to facilitate a place for buyers to eat because there is an option to eat on the spot. Meanwhile, the segmentation of the user of the application are very broad including students, college students, office workers and tourists. Users can also communicate directly through applications with tenants. "Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) can have more value in its own country with the development of this kind of Start Up business."
In his speech, Udinus’ Rector Prof. Dr. Ir Edi Noersasongko M.Kom said that universities should be the generator for change so that they can get around to avoid being crushed.
