BEFORE LEAVING TO UNESCO, E-GAMELANKU TEAM OPEN DINUSFEST 2018
Dian Nuswantoro University (Udinus) held Dinus Festival (Dinusfest) 2018 to appreciate students. Dinusfest is an annual event and this year event is the fourth. There were 4781 participants joined this event from various regions in Java and outside Java.
Dinusfest targeted to get 3500 participants this year and it turned up beyond the target. Dinusfest successfully got more than 4000 participants who joined this event from Tuesday 23rd until Thursday 25th of January. There were 39 different kind of competitions in Dinusfest such as Badminton, Karate, Basket, Futsal, Japanesse Story Telling, Paskibra, Batik, Robotics, Open Source, Photography, Dance, Rebana, LKS and many others.
In his speech, Prof. Dr. Ir Edi Noersasongko M. Kom said that Dinusfest was Udinus’ creations for students. Participants who became the winner would get millions of rupiah as the prize and also scholarship to continue the study in Udinus. "We also ask the blessing to go to France to bring Indonesia to the international level. On July, Udinus is scheduled to come to Unesco’s invitation to perform Udinus’ Electronic Gamelan (E-gamelanku) "said Udinus’ Rector on the main stage.
Before E-Gamelanku team left to France, they showed their ability in front of Dinusfest’s participants. "The gamelan is played by Udinus's doctors, now we using the original gamelan first. Tomorrow, in Unesco, we will use E-gamelanku by Udinus “said Prof. Dr. Supriadi Rustad, M.Si the Vice Rector I of Academic Affairs which at the same time became the dalang when introducing the gamelan players.
Besides the competition for Udinus students and high school / vocational school students, there were also 40 Expo stands along the D Building, Dinacom, and the inauguration of Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (Hipmi PT) Udinus on Thursday 25th of Januar. The Chairman of the committee, Rindra Yusianto S.Kom., MT expected that Dinusfest could get more participants and also it could be joined by students all over Indonesia. (* PR / mey)
