UDINUS HELP INDONESIA CREATES YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS
On Wednesday, April 4th, 2018, the Ministry of Cooperatives and Small Medium Enterprises of Republic of Indonesia with PT.Bali Ranandha Televisi visited UDINUS. The visitation was to improve the existing young entrepreneurs in Indonesia. The visitation was also a follow up action of the ‘Business Proposals Clinic and National Entrepreneurship Movement 2018' in March. At the event, UDINUS successfully passed 4 of 150 proposals produced by students which selected nationally. The 4 proposals are made by Eriek Ikhsan Latief, Sabila Ilham Bimantara, Anis Sofiyanti and Ima Afisatulia Solikhah. They will be funded up to millions of rupiah to develop their business.
Edi said that UDINUS had a role in creating young entrepreneurs through education. According to him, the number of entrepreneurs in Indonesia are still low and not even ideal. "We are encouraging students to become entrepreneurs through education by giving them mindset of entrepreneurship. We do that since the students joined UDINUS and entrepreneurship itself is also part of our vision and mission, "he said.
Edi also said that the cooperation between the two agencies was also an effort of UDINUS in helping the government to increase the percentage of new entrepreneurs up to 2,5% in 2018. By opening entrepreneurship, it will automatically create many new job vacancies. "The number of unemployment will automatically decrease with the number of new jobs vacancies, created by young entrepreneurs," he said.
Head of UDINUS’ UPT Entrepreneurship, Imam Nuryanto, S.E, MM said that besides educating students to create their own business, UDINUS also keep encouraging new entrepreneurs to have a Taxpayer Identification Number (NPWP) and Small Micro Business License (IUMK) "Those two things are the most important thing in entrepreneurship because by having NPWP and IUMK, student’s business will be recognized by the state. If you open a business but do not have NPWP or IUMK, then it is the same like they open an illegal business and all the effort become useless, "he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of UDINUS’ Public Relation, Agus Triyono, MSi said “university has a great deal in creating new entrepreneurs and UDINUS is trying to make it come true”. UDINUS as a university that accredited A, speed up its movement to make the vision and the mission of becoming an IT-preneur campus come true. (* PR / Alex; Photo by: UPT Entrepreneurship dock)
