UDINUS HELP REDUCING UNEMPLOYMENT RATE THROUGH JOB FAIR
Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (UDINUS) through UDINUS Career Center (UCC) just held the 20th Job Fair on April 21st – 22nd, 2018. The purpose of this 20th Job Fair was to help Indonesia especially Central Java in reducing unemployment rate. About 2800 job seekers crowded the hall of E building UDINUS to participate. There were also 15 stands of handicraft, food and beverage that cheered up the event.
The Head of UDINUS’ Alumni and Career Services, Andik Setyono, PhD, said that the 20th Job Fair was followed by about 40 companies that have credibility. Various companies engaged in banking, information technology, retail, automotive, hotel finance and even media enliven this event. "Various job vacancies from various positions are offered to the visitors. Participants can join for free, but they must register first through the website that we provide, "he said on Tuesday, April 21st 2018.
Andik also added that through the 20th job fair, UDINUS participated in assisting the government in reducing unemployment rate in Central Java as well as helping UDINUS’ graduates to find suitable job. “Through this Job fair, we want to facilitate UDINUS’ graduates to get a job faster. Not only UDINUS’ graduates, public is also welcome to join this job fair, "he added.
UDINUS’ Vice Rector I of Academic affair, Prof. Dr. Supriadi Rustad, M.Si said that the company’s need towards new employee, was because the development of the economy in Indonesia is growing fast. “The development of the economy can be seen from the companies in the 20th job fair that needed 80 new workers. I'm very glad to see that. We continue to help the job seekers and companies so that they can meet each other to reduce the unemployment rate, "he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of UDINUS’ Public Relation, Agus Triyono, MSi said that through the job fair, UDINUS became a bridge between job seekers and companies."We always facilitate the graduates and the society so that the unemployment rate can be reduced.
