BAI UDINUS SUCCESSFULLY HELD YOUNG MOSLEM CREATIVITY
Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (UDINUS) through Badan Amal Islam (BAI) just held Young Moslem Creativity (YMC) on May 1st-2nd, 2018. Wikrama Vocational School Bogor successfully became the first winner in the category of Islamic application competition.
There were various categories of competition in the event such as photography competition, Islamic application competition, poster competition and Musabaqah Tilawatil Quran (MTQ) competition. Besides high school and vocational school students from various regions, college students were also participated in the photography competitions organized by BAI.
The Vice Chairman of BAI UDINUS, Ahmad Surya Moyong said that YMC activities was a field for young generation to improve their skills in various fields. According to him, besides building the nation, young generation had a role to build the religion.
"We want to invite Muslim youth to build Indonesia from various fields, of one of them is technology. UDINUS became the first University to hold an Islamic application competition. We want to make a platform for the young generation to explore their skills through this competition, "he said on Wednesday, May 2nd, 2018.
Surya mentioned that through positive activities and routines, radicalism can be avoided. The rise of the radicalism action was caused by various things, one of them was from the misunderstanding of something. "We, from BAI teach a strong understanding of religion education and also hold positive activities like YMC and other activities. In addition to improve skills and also strengthen the brotherhood, "he said.
The 4 champions of the competition are Nugroho Rusman Pangestu from Pondok Pesantren Al-Hikmah Pedurungan Semarang as the winner of poster categories, Risma Alfianti from State Madrasyah Aliyah Kendal won as the first champion of Musabaqah Tilawatil Quran (MTQ), While for the category of Islamic application competitions was won by Muhammad Ilham and Ferdi Haspi N from Wikrama Vocational School, Bogor.
The first winner of Islamic application competition, Muhammad Ilham said that it took a short time to create the application called 'ArabianApp' and it was created based on the daily problems. He also would support that if the Islamic application competition would be held again. "It only takes 2 days to create this application. We analyze many problems faced by people who are undergoing umroh, who have difficulty in speaking Arabic. Our application is more interactive compare to the similar application, "he said
Meanwhile, The Head of UDINUS’ Public Relation, Agus Triyono S. Sos, MSi concluded that through various positive activities, radicalism could be prevented because the young generation got various knowledges that could improve the academic ability.
