Student Activists at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) welcomed the blessings of Eid Al-Adha 1443H by distributing and donating meat to students. This activity was a collaboration between all student organizations and activity units at Udinus. The meat distribution was conducted on Sunday, July 10th, 2022.

The donation was coordinated by the Student Council Representatives (DPM-KM), with a total funding of Rp. 9.850.000. The fund was allocated for three goats, with a few of it being used to support the meat donation event, as well as charity.

Decky Adriandy, the Head of the Student Council Representatives (DPM-KM), reported that two of those three goats were valued at Rp. 4 million, with the other one valued at Rp. 1.2 million. The meat will be given to students who had previously registered for this donation. Hopefully, the kindness of this activity can be properly received by students in need.

“We hereby thank all of the student organizations and activity units for helping us, be it through prayers or direct support during this whole procession. Hopefully, this event can be a blessing for us one day,” he said.

Meanwhile, Dr. Rindra Yusianto, S.Kom., M.T., the Head of the Student Affairs Bureau at Udinus, suggested that this type of event be held more often. This is because Udinus needs its student organizations and activity units to collaborate and share synergies.

“Hopefully, this positive activity can push students to be more caring with each other, as well as hone their soft skills. Additionally, we also routinely advise students to host more positive events in a series of events entitled ‘Udinus is Caring,’” he concluded.

‘Udinus is Caring’ itself includes several events, encompassing the 5kg of rice giveaway to locals, the iftar food giveaway during the Holy Month of Ramadan, and the food giveaway to an orphanage in Semarang during the time of new academic year. (Humas Udinus/Haris. Foto: Dok. DPM KM)
