THE HEALTH SCIENCE FACULTY AT UDINUS TAUGHT 19 STUDENTS FROM UNIVERSITI MALAYSIA TERENGGANU ABOUT ACADEMICS AND INDONESIAN CULTURE

The Health Science Faculty at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) held the 2022 Mid-Year Camp. The faculty received 19 students from Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT). Those 19 students will sit in at Udinus for the next 12 days. 
 
Those Malaysian students would receive knowledge regarding the environmental impacts of microplastic, a Geographic Information System (GIS) lesson, and many more. In addition, they would also be introduced to facilities owned by Udinus. 
 
During their arrival, the students were welcomed by Dr. Pulung Nurtantio Andono, S.T., M.Kom., (the Vice Chancellor IV of Research and Partnership Affairs), Enny Rachmani, SKM., M.Kom., Ph.D., (the Dean of the Health Science Faculty at Udinus), and other staff members within the faculty. 
 
In his speech, Dr. Pulung Nurtantio Andono, S.T., M.Kom., welcomed the students. Furthermore, he also hoped for students to learn lots of things from faculty members. 
 
“In addition to their academic knowledge, we also hope for students from UMT to learn Indonesian cultures, particularly those in Semarang. Hopefully, this academic visit can become a precious experience for them,” Dr. Pulung explained. 
 
Meanwhile, Enny Rachmani, SKM., M.Kom., Ph.D., (the Dean of the Health Science Faculty at Udinus) stated that the 2022 Mid-Year Camp was a collaboration of the Health Science Faculty at Udinus and UMT. According to her, the camp aimed to raise global insight of these 19 students about foreign cultures. Prior to this, in August, students from Udinus had also participated in a study exchange program at UMT.
 
"We taught various things to students of UMT at the 2022 Mid-Year Camp. We aimed to introduce these students to ours so they could exchange cultural insight," she explained. 
 
The camp, which employed the theme of ‘Digitalized for Health and Environmental,’ was conducted from September 11th to 22nd, 2022. Those students were welcomed in the conference room located on the first floor of the H building at Udinus. 
 
During the aftermath of the opening of the 2022 Mid-Year Camp, Mohammad Khairlu, a student from UMT, expressed his joy for being allowed to learn at Udinus. According to him, this camp was such an unforgettable experience.
