What made Agnes’ business different from the others was the variety such as, the ‘jamu’ was made of natural spices, lumpy textures, and contained no preservative substances. Agnes also stated that her ‘jamu’ held countless bodily benefits such as sour turmeric for mending period sore or turmeric roots for curing rising gastric acid.

“It also comes in other flavors including red ginger, sour sugar, Curcuma, turmeric roots, and many more. It certainly is packed hygienically and trendily,” Agnes uttered.

During her entrepreneurial journey, Agnes, a student of the 2018 cohort, encountered ups and downs including a lack of workforce. She explained that her business only involved her family. With an astonishing number of regulars. Agnes wished for her business to keep improving and serve as job opportunities.

“I aim to reduce the unemployment rate in Indonesia by opening a job opportunity once I own a permanent outlet,” she shared.

As a student, Agnes also actively participated in a student organization, particularly in The Health Science Faculty Student Executives (BEM Fkes) for the 2020-2021 period. She claimed that she learned tons of entrepreneurial knowledge at Udinus such as Start-Up Business. Her ‘jamu’ business was also successfully funded at the Indonesian Student Entrepreneur Event (KBMI) Independent Campus (Kampus Merdeka).

“Gaining knowledge at the campus was my stepping stone to pursue the entrepreneurial sector. With such a good environment, I could tie partnerships with countless parties, particularly fellow students with the same interest,” Agnes concluded. (Humas Udinus/Haris. Foto:Dok. Pribadi)
