Students of Nahdotul Ulama in Sawangan Sub-district, Magelang Regency, were taught how to prepare for the Society 5.0 era. This particular event was hosted in the form of community service by faculty members of the Undergraduate Management Department in the Economics Business Faculty at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus).   

Society 5.0 itself is a societal concept that can resolve every social problem surrounding the general public through the utilization of technology achieved during the Industrial Revolution 4.0. The lecturers of the Management Department, Muftachul Mujib, SE, M.Sc., M.Eric, ST., M.M., and Pradana Jati Kusuma, ST., MM., provided several steps in facing the era of Society 5.0. Two of those steps were understanding the importance of organizational management and personal branding.

The event was participated by 40 students from the Nahdatul Ulama Student Association (IPNU) and Women’s Nahdatul Ulama Student Association (IPPNU) of Sawangan Sub-district.

M. Eric., ST., MM., the head organizer of this community service program, explained that the program aimed to educate students of the Nahdatul Ulama of Sawangan Sub-district. These lecturers were also committed to improving their work readiness, as most of those students were still in high school.

“We see that most of these students are still in high school with little to no competence and skills to face the work competitive in the 5.0 era. To accommodate this, we conduct this community service program,” he explained.

Miftachul Mujib also hoped for the students from both IPNU and IPPNU organizations to understand and apply the knowledge well. 

“Hopefully, through this program, they can improve their competence. They should also prepare themselves well to embark on their careers in the era of Society 5.0,” he concluded.

 The program took place at the MWC NU Building in Sawangan Sub-district, Magelang Regency, on December 24th, 2022. At the program, students were seen as enthusiastic, particularly in asking questions to those dedicated lecturers. (Humas Udinus/Alex. Foto: Humas Udinus)
