The Faculty of Health Science at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) inaugurated and took professional pledges from the soon-to-be graduates. This professional pledge served as one of the requirements to get their Registration Certificates.

A total of 33 students attended the inauguration and the oath-taking ceremony as a first step to their entrance into the industry. Those 33 students mainly consisted of Medical Recorders students. Additionally, there was also a student coming from another institution. The inauguration and oath-taking ceremony took place on the sixth floor of the I building.

Dr. dr. Zaenal Sugiyanto M. Kes., the Head of the Medical Records and Information Program, explained that the professional pledge was essential in order for students to obtain Registration Certificates, as it might be useful to get jobs in various health institutions. Moreover, Zaenal also emphasized that the graduates of the Medical Recorders program had to be able to adapt to many different situations and develop their competence.

The campus hosted this ceremony to convey its trust and sense of security to the students for their upcoming services and merits as medical professionals.

“In recent times, the digitalization advancements have reached health services, leading to our soon-to-be graduates to keep up with these advancements by improving their skills and abilities in the digital field. Also, this procession is essential so that students could later uphold the work professionalism,” he explained.

Meanwhile, in his speech, the Dean of the Health Science Faculty, Dr. Enny Rachmani SKM., M.Kom., Ph.D., told the students to work the hardest they could once they got their jobs.

She added that these soon-to-be graduates were expected to do their best as medical recorders by upholding the secrecy of information and striving to improve their competence in processing data. Those data will generate information needed to make decisions as a form of adaptation done by medical recorders in response to the digital transformation in the health service.

“Hopefully, our students could later showcase their professionalism at their workplaces and give their best in every aspect of their lives,” the dean said.

That ceremony also featured a spiritual leader and a representative from a hospital. Roni Rahman, Amd. Pk, the Head of the Medical Recorder Association in Central Java, directly took the oath given by students. On the same occasion, students signed a document witnessed by the dean and the Head of the Medical Records and Information Program.

Roni Rohman told the soon-to-be graduates to maintain their quality in the field of technology and abide by the regulations enacted by the Ministry of Health.

“The graduates of the Health Science Faculty must uphold their attitude, competence, and sense of validity in delivering data. It is indeed sure enough that students of the Medical Records and Information Program possess a basic understanding in the field of Information Technology, which will later be advantageous for them,” he concluded.
