Waved the Indonesian flag in the international sports event, four medals were achieved by Three students from Universitas Dian Nuswantotro (UDINUS) in the 2023 SEA Youth Brunei Darussalam. Those three students had achieved several medals in a few different sectors.

Affan Mauludana Pratama and Hafidh Nuur Annafi alongside their friends won the gold medal for the 19-year-old men category after winning the final against Thailand. Hafidh Nur Bersama and Cindy Marcella also won the silver medal in the mixed duo table tennis sector.

Meanwhile, in the men's single table tennis sector, Affan Mauludana also secured the bronze medal. Hafidz, who competed alongside his friend, also followed Affan’s steps by winning the bronze medal men in doubles table tennis sector for the 19-year-old men category. Additionally, Dwi Oktaviany Sugiarto also competed in an event held at Tutong Sports Complex, Brunei Darussalam. Four of them were the students of undergraduate management of Udinus.

In his interview, Affan Mauludana Pratama was glad and satisfied as the long and hard training he had done finally paid off by winning the gold and bronze medals for Indonesia in the 2023 Sea Youth Brunei Darussalam. The key to his success was keeping calm and striving to do the best he could. Affan also said that Thailand was the hardest obstacle to overcome in that sports event.

“The gold medal we won in the men's table tennis competition was the result of our hard work for defeating Thailand with the score of 3-0. The event in Brunei was impressive, we sang the Indonesia Raya anthem in the international scene and that was awesome,” he explained when he talked about his achievement in Brunei some time ago.

At the Sea Youth Brunei Darussalam, the Indonesian table tennis team secured a gold medal, two silver medals, and four bronze medals placing Indonesia in third position out of ten participating nations.

Vice Chancellor III of The Students’ Affairs Sector, Dr. Kusni Ingsih, MM was proud of the UDINUS students participating in that International Table Tennis Competition. She hoped that the accomplishment achieved by Affan Mauludana Pratama, Hafidh Nuur Annafi, and Cindy Marcela would serve as good examples for other students to excel in their respective fields.
