Universitas Dian Nuswantoro celebrated the 77th anniversary of the Indonesian National Police or Bhayangkara by participating as one of the venues for a mass booster vaccination. The vaccination was aimed toward all of the academic community of Udinus and the general public of Semarang City. The event took place at the yard of Health faculty Udinus, on Tuesday, June 27th, 2023.
A team of 19 medical professionals from Bhayangkara Hospital of Semarang attended the event. The entire event was organized and managed by the Human Resources (SDM) and Student Bureau (BIMA) of UDINUS.
Adi Prihandono, M.Kom., the head of HR at UDINUS, stated that nearly 1000 doses of the Sinopharm vaccine were available for administration. The vaccination program covered the first through fourth doses of the booster vaccine. Residents were required to bring a photocopy of their identification cards to the vaccination location.
Adi stated, "Registration is being handled by Bhayangkara Hospital, coordinated by Dr. Nila. Eleven physicians are available to give the vaccine. We are always ready to provide support for vaccination programs, and this is not our first time doing so."
Furthermore, Adi mentioned that the vaccination program was organized in conjunction with the anniversary of the Indonesian National Police Day. Udinus alongside Bhayangkara, served as one of the vaccination sites.
"The vaccination program will continue until July 1st, 2023. As the event organizer, Bhayangkara Hospital in Semarang will serve as the main vaccination facility," explained Adi.
In addition to that booster vaccination program, Udinus had also collaborated with Bhayangkara and the Central Java Police (Polda Jateng) to conduct COVID-19 vaccinations.
