The animation students of Universitas Dian Nuswantoro conducted training on how to make an animated sticker. The theme of this event was “Workshop 2D, Fun Ways to Make GIF Stickers.” A total of 47 students from various high schools in Semarang attended the training that took place inside a computer laboratory on the 2nd floor of the D building at Udinus.

The animation students invited a speaker who was also an exceptional alumna of the Animation major at Udinus, known as Denise Sherlyn Sutejo, S.Tr.Anim. She is currently working as an animator and an illustrator. She had gotten various experiences, one of which was creating Line Stickers.

In her lecture, Denise gave several basic understandings and explained tips and tricks on how to make Line Stickers. Then, she continued the lecture by demonstrating making the Line Stickers directly in front of the participants. Finally, she explained how the audience could become line creators and register their stickers on the Play Store.

“One of the advantages of creating stickers for Line is that it serves as a portfolio for students so that they can dive into the animation career, not only that, it can also serve as a platform for the students to earn more allowance,” she said.

The head of Animation Study Program, Dr. Khafiizh Hastuti, M.kom., also attended and greeted the participants and speakers. The best alumna from the Animation Major of Udinus was invited to showcase how remarkable the alumni of the Animation Study Progam are.

“We will continue to organize events that may improve the students’ animation skills. By organizing this training event, we hope to introduce the Animation Major of Udinus to the high school students and the general public,” he said.

As additional information, that event was a part of Junimasi events held annually by the students of Animation Major. Other than workshops, there are also exhibitions and final assignment presentations for the students of the Animation Major of Udinus. During that occasion, Udinus also signed a letter of collaboration with partners from the animation industry. (Humas Udinus/Haris. Foto: Humas Udinus)
