The engineering faculty of Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) held a departure orientation for students who took part in the Independent Student Exchange Program known as PMM 2023. The purpose of the event was to offer basic information, instructions, and advice, with the intention of assisting students in their learning journey at their respective campuses.
The departure event took place on Tuesday, August 8th, 2023, on the second floor of the G building at Udinus. The event was attended by 14 engineering faculty students who were embarking on their journey to their respective destination campuses." As explained by Fauizi Adi Rafrastara, M.Cs., the coordinator of the PMM program, those students represent various study programs such as the Bachelor of Informatics, Information System of Semarang Campus, Information System of Kediri Campus, and Communication and Visual Design Study Program.
Fauzi explained, “The students will participate in an exchange program spread across 5 universities in Indonesia. The departures are scheduled on August, with some on the 17th and others towards the end of the month.”
Fauzi hoped that through this program, students will get a ton of experience as well as useful knowledge. “I’m sure that they will also have many relations with other students from various campuses,” added Fauzi
Mochammad Divka Budiarta as one of the students that represent the Information System Major stated that he would never forget Udinus and he would always introduce Udinus while taking the program. He also admitted that the program was one of the best ways to learn about diverse cultures in Indonesia.
“I am very excited to see new friends and learn their cultures from different regions. As a representative of Universitas Dian Nuswantoro, I will introduce Udinus as well as cultures at Semarang to my destination campus,” said Mohchammad Divka.
Attended to give a speech and officiate the orientation, Dr. Abdul Syukur, M.M, the Dean of Engineering Faculty informed all representative students about the importance for all participating students to approach their activities with care and uphold the reputation of the alma mater. He also called upon the entire academic community of Udinus to support those students.
