Once again, the talented students of Visual and Communication Design (DKV) at Udinus impressed audiences with their creativity during a captivating final work exhibition. The event showcased an impressive array of creations, including videos and innovative applications, providing a delightful experience for visitors.

The event was held for three days, starting from August 2nd to August 4th, 2023. The event was organized in the gallery room of the H building Udinus Semarang. With a total of 32 creations, the exhibition emphasized the title of ‘Skripsi Harga Mati’.

The chief organizer, Amar Taufiqul Fatah, explained that they coincidentally chose a theme closely aligned with August, known as the month of Indonesia's independence. That connection held special significance as it commemorated the hard work and sacrifices of the heroes who contributed to Indonesia's freedom.

"As we all know, the thesis defense is the final phase of completing our studies. During the thesis-making process, every student battles against obstacles and makes a lot of sacrifices. But no matter what happens, the thesis needs to be done," said Amar, a Visual Communication Design student.

One of the exhibition’s creations was made by Amar as a promotion media for Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) in the form of videos. He mentioned that he chose certain creations with the aim of advertising the selected SME widely and increasing its sales turnover.

“The business place that I chose was Gunung Deles Stall because it is a nice and interesting place but lacks visitors. After talking with the owner, I was committed to choosing that place,” explained Amar.

Amar also mentioned that the Design and Communication Visual study program was present to address any DKV-related issues in the surrounding area.

“At DKV major, we are trying to overcome problems with useful visual works,” concluded Amar. (Udinus Public Relation/IKA. Photo: Udinus PR)
