REACHING AN OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT: SALMA, A STUDENT OF THE FACULTY OF HUMANITY UDINUS, SECURED 3RD PLACE IN MOCKTAIL COMPETITION

A new achievement had been strived by the Faculty of Humanity at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus). Through a Mocktail Competition which was participated by Salma Julinda Rizma, an applied student of the Hotel Management Study Program who successfully took third place.

The competition which was attended by 50 contestants from various institutions across Indonesia was held not long ago, at Stikubank University Semarang, Central Java. The event served as a form of support for students of Hospitality and tourism at the national level to make mocktail creations.

Of course, the girl known as Salma is not a stranger to mocktail. With her creation named ‘Wedding in the Summer’, she defeated dozens of competitors and stood in third place.

“My mocktail creation is made of soda mixed with orange juice, and strawberry shakaram,” explained Salma regarding the ingredients that she used.

For additional information, mocktail creation is a type of non-alcohol drink made of juice and a mixture of other soft-drinks.

Although she is in the second semester of her study, she doesn’t let her spirit to go down in participating in a competition and achieved a new attainment that can’t be doubted. She admitted that her current achievement became her milestone to carve into a higher level. 

“In the future, I will engage in different kinds of contests and score another point. My goal is to stand in first place at each of every competition that I will undertake,” stated Salma. 

Salma’s target is fully supported by Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus). As a campus with ‘Superior’ accreditation, Udinus will always encourage its students to develop their talent and creativity by giving opportunities to every student in participating in various competitions.
