That series of events hosted by the Student Executives took place in Central Lamper, South Semarang, Semarang. The program held the theme of ‘Resolving Home Industry Wastes with the Eco-Enzyme-based Downflow Method in the Tempeh Thematic District to Realize Healthy Lifestyle in Central Lamper.’

The chief of the Student Organization Coaching Program (PPKO) team of the Health Science Faculty Student Executives (BEM Fkes), Abian Haikal, stated that the designed filtration tool was installed in sewages to reduce tempeh (an Indonesian food made of fermented soybeans) wastes. The team involved fifteen students from two departments namely the Departments of Public Health and the Departments of Environmental Health. The natives of Central Lamper were also taught the steps of creating Eco Enzyme by utilizing organic materials to create a versatile liquid.

“We chose this location as disgusting smell often becomes a major problem here in Central Lamper. Hopefully, this program may help the natives in reducing tempeh waste,” he explained.
