The Student Affairs Bureau at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) gave training dedicated to the organization leaders on campus to develop their integrity, intelligence, and character. The event known as ‘Leadership Refreshment X’ was participated by 177 organization leaders on campus for the 2023-2024 period.

Unlike the years prior, the training was hosted in several places on campus, including the third floor of the E building, the Mangga Dua Court, and the D and G buildings’ courtyard. The training mainly used ‘Shaping Future Leaders with a Sense of Integrity, Character, and Intellect.’ It was organized from October 20 to 22, 2023.

A direct instruction given by Dr. Kusni Ingsih, the Vice Chancellor III of the Student Affairs at Udinus, marked the beginning of the event. On that occasion, she encouraged all organizations on campus to keep being respectful in facing the political year of 2024. In addition, an event known as ‘bakti ormawa’ or community service was also featured in the training.

“We conducted community service by putting dustbins and planting trees around campus. Hopefully, this training could create harmony between us and maintain a good atmosphere for some periods to come,” she uttered.

Dwi Anugrah Purnama, S.S., the Head Organizer of this event, added that all participants collectively established the tent at the camping ground located in the Mangga Dua Court. On the following night, all participants were obliged to track their way to all six designated posts. The tracking held the theme ‘Pancasila for Character Development and Building Teamwork.’

“The tracking was continued in the following afternoon with another twelve posts. Later that night, the event was concluded by a campfire session and inauguration performances carried out by the participants. All of these were done in an attempt to solidify the bonds between students. Through this event, the students are expected to erase the gaps between them, hold synergies, and become good leaders,” Dwi added.

Valentina Widya, S.SS., M.Hum ., the Head of the Talent and Interest Section in the Student Affairs Bureau at Udinus, stated that all participants were divided into nine groups and would strive their way through seven different posts to resolve various problems and games surrounding leadership matters.

“This outbound training was conducted to develop their solidarities with each other. Wishfully, they will be able to be synergistic, communicative, and better leaders,” she revealed.
