Satrio Bisma Bramantyo, the Student Organization Coaching Program team leader of the Information System Student Association, explained that the device served as the first step to resolving the problems surrounding small businesses with manual sorting systems. By using this tool, sorting the quantity and size of milkfish would be more accurate and efficient.

“We presented this device in an attempt to introduce the IoT implementation to milkfish business owners. The conveyor device is equipped with size and mass sensor divided into three different sizes namely, small, medium, and big,” he explained.

It is important to note that the Student Organization Coaching Program is a program in which student organization members undergo a series of coaching sessions in the form of community services and empowerment in a village fostered by the campus.

According to Dr. Aris Marjuni, S.Si., M.Kom., the Head of the Information System Study Program, every knowledge taught on campus must be applied in a community. This soft-launching event was tangible proof that progress was being made by the team to conduct the Student Organizations Coaching Program.

“We will always instruct and monitor the team to conduct their program without issues in accordance with the proposed roadmap. Hopefully, this program could be utilized properly by the milkfish business owners in Kerobokan,” he concluded.

Prior to this, the Student Organization Coaching Program team of the Information System Student Association (HM Sisfo) also established a community consisting of milkfish business owners to improve digital visibility.
