Empowering farmers, the Student Association of the Public Health (HM KESMAS) at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) designed a technology to optimize farming productivity at Podorejo Village, Ngaliyan, Central Java Province. The optimization was utilizing a pest control of a smart farming tower named ‘Mendalima’ and a sprinkler sprayer.

The event, designed to enhance students' soft skills, took the form of counseling, a presentation program, and socialization sessions conducted for all farmers in Podorejo Village. In this program, the Association Team of the Coaching Student Organization (PPKO HM KESMAS) at Udinus emphasized the theme of 'Enhancing Agricultural Productivity through the Use of Smart Farming Technology, including Pest Controlling Towers and Sprinkler Sprayers, to Boost the Economy of Podorejo Village.’

Widya Putri A, the Chief of the PPKO HM Kesmas Committee at Udinus, mentions that the technology developed by the PPKO team has greatly assisted the local farmers and is anticipated to boost agricultural practices in Podorejo Village. The Smart Farming Technology is solar-powered, and in its development, they utilized a technology known as Arduino.
