The Engineering Faculty at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) became the host of the first meeting of the Indonesian Higher Education of Industrial Engineering Partnership Agency (BKSTI) of the Central Java region. On this occasion, they designed the strategic steps in facing the dynamic future.

The meeting was attended by the whole staff of BKSTI of Central Java led by Ir. Affan Rifai, S.T., M.T. Those representatives from BKSTI of Central Java for the 2024-2027 period were warmly welcomed by Heru Agus Santoso, Ph.D., (the Engineering Faculty Dean at Udinus). The meeting ran evenly in the conference room on the first floor of the H building at Udinus.

In addition to discussing the work performance of BKSTI of Central Java, the meeting also discussed various strategic plans, including innovative program proposals, which would serve as an umbrella for the future of industrial engineering education within Central Java.

Heru Agus Santoso, Ph.D., (the Dean of the Engineering Faculty) hoped for the partnership between Udinus and BPTIK of Central Java to be harmonious. By voicing his hope of improving the quality of industrial engineering education within Central Java, he also highlighted the involvement of the Industrial Engineering Department at Udinus. The involvement encompassed the newly formed management, as well as informing the importance of tightening the bonds of this partnership.

This first meeting also served as a platform for various Industrial Engineering Departments from other institutions to join the BKSTI management system. Structurally, BKSTI of Central Java is divided into various divisions. Those divisions are the Education and Accreditation Division, the Research and Community Service Division, as well as the Partnership Division, and Student Affairs Division.

Appreciating Support from Udinus

Ir. Affan Rifai, S.T., M.T., (the Head of the BKSTI of Central Java) expressed his deep appreciation to Udinus for being willing to host the meeting by facilitating them. According to him, this meeting is not particularly formal, but it is an important moment in building solid coordination between the stakeholders from various universities within Central Java.

“Through this coordination, we hope for the new management to be able to focus on providing better service, particularly in hosting higher education for Industrial Engineering within this region. Furthermore, we would like to thank Udinus for facilitating and motivating us in conducting this meeting,” he concluded, as he showed his flaming motivation in shaping the Industrial Engineering education to be more inclusive and brilliant in the near future.
