The Junimasi Exhibition is a routine event hosted by the Animation Department at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus). The exhibition showcased 2D, 3D, Animated Film Screenings, and presentations from senior students. It was hosted on Monday, June 24th, 2024.

With the help of Yamaha Ltd.., the 2024 Junimasi employed the theme of ‘Moving Forw(Art) with Yamaha Fazzio.’ The exhibition also featured a competition participated by high school students, college students, and the general public. It was held in the auditorium located on the seventh floor of the H building.

As for the final projects, Dr. Khafiizh Hastuti S.Kom.—the Head of the Animation Department at Udinus—explained that the event was hosted as a form of appreciation to students. There are seven student films screened in front of faculties, other students, and Junimasi contestants.

“This exhibition has essentially become a tradition for us to prepare these students prior to their careers in the creative industry. Through this exhibition, students are expected to convey their works and form a personal branding,” he explained.

Following the screening, Amin Wibawa—a Human Resource Development officer at Manimonki Animation—claimed that students had shown excellent development. This development could emerge as a result of curriculum revisions and evaluations, as well as the competence possessed by the instructors.

“Overall, they are qualified for the creative industry. Moreover, the creative industry is currently in demand of more workforces, and students engaging in this sector are expected to fill these vacancies,” he concluded.

In addition, Agita Surya—one of the best alumni of the Animation Department—also made an appearance at the exhibition. On that occasion, every student presenting their works received an appreciation. These appreciations primarily came in the form of titles, including the Best 2D Animation, the Best 3D Animation, the Best Storyline, Animation with Most Revisions, and the Most Experimental Animation.
