Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) successfully collected three awards at the PKM Award on Monday, August 19th, 2024. Appreciation is given to the teams that have participated in the PKM Progress Assessment (PKP2).

The award was given by the Directorate of Learning and Student (Belmawa) Division of the General Directorate of Higher Education at the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology as the initiator of the Student Creativity Program (PKM). The event itself was hosted at Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran, Jakarta.

At the award, Udinus earned three different categories of awards, namely, the university with the most teams being funded, with a total of 21 teams. Dr. Kusni Ingsih, M.M., the Vice Chancellor III of Student Affairs at Udinus, expressed her pride for the hard work and dedication shown by all the teams funded in the Student Creativity Program (PKM).

“These awards show our commitment to pushing our students, particularly those from student organizations, to be creative in resolving problems within the public space. Hopefully, these awards will be able to motivate students to be more innovative,” Kusni hoped.

In addition to that, there are two teams from Udinus being awarded at the event. One of which was the team led by Inovne Adelin as the Most Creative Team. The team invented an innovation named ‘Malenveer,’ which is a device used to detect veins as a way to improve medical services.

As for the other one, this team was led by Fadia Zufa Kanaya and was awarded as the Most Interesting Social Media Account. The team created an innovation named the Portable Floating Nets Karamba Based on the Internet of Things (IoT). This innovation was created to improve the catch and productivity of fishermen from Widosiger.

During her interview, Fadia added that the Student Creativity Program (PKM) allows her team to get their creative and innovative ideas facilitated by the government. According to her, solving real-world issues might reinforce her portfolio by the time she graduates from Udinus.

“Through this program, my team and I could hone our soft skills, as this kind of competence is unobtainable in regular university lectures. In addition, the Student Affairs Bureau also supported us during the entirety of this program,” she concluded. (Humas Udinus/Haris. Foto: Humas Udinus)
