Once again, a special moment was featured at the 83rd Graduation of Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus), with a total of 712 students graduating. The graduation became even more impactful with the presence of the New Rector of Udinus, Prof. Dr. Pulung Nurtantio Andono, S.T., M.Kom.., who for the first time, inaugurated the graduates, on Wednesday, February 26, 2025.

During his opening speech, the rector stated that the 83rd graduation was a historical moment, as it was the first time he attended the graduation as the new rector.
“I hereby congratulate all the graduates. Hopefully, they can soon get employment or establish businesses, as well as meet the love of their life. Despite this being the culmination of their academic journey, this only marks a new beginning of their new lives,” he uttered.
As additional information, upon attaining his newest position, the rector has determined to continue the legacy of the Founder and First Rector of Udinus from 1986 to 2025, Prof. Dr. Ir. Edi Noersasongko, M.Kom. The position was attained through a ceremony conducted alongside other newly appointed staff at Udinus for the 2025 to 2029 period. The ceremony itself was hosted in late January 2025.

At the graduation, Udinus graduated students of various degrees, including diploma, undergraduate, applied undergraduate, and graduate, The sacred ceremony was witnessed directly by every student’s parents. It took place in the Rama Shinta Ballroom at Patra Hotel, Semarang.
The rector also emphasized that for Udinus to be a World-Class university, the campus needed to expand its influence to several campuses from other countries. For that reason, within the previous month, the rector had signed four different partnerships with Malaysian and Filipino universities.
“Currently, Udinus has attained its place in the QS World University Rankings. To maximize this attainment, we still have many more collaborations to tie in. Meanwhile, in terms of the research quality of our academicians, recently, we have had five of our faculty members ascend to the rank of professor, marking a total of 17 professors at Udinus,” he uttered.
As a whole, at the 83rd Graduation at Udinus, there were students spread across 18 different departments at Udinus, including a doctoral department, two master’s department, thirteen bachelor’s department, and three diploma departments.
In addition, Dr. Bhimo Widyo Andoko, the Chief of the Higher Education Service Institute of Region VI, also made an appearance to congratulate all the graduates remotely. He hoped that they would be able to contribute to the public by the time they initiated their careers in the industry.
Full Scholarship for Athletes.
At the 83rd Graduation at Udinus, an Undergraduate Communication Science graduate, Yedida Putri Anugrah Wayanto, formally read the alumni promise, which was a sacred ceremony for graduates to uphold their commitment. During her studies at Udinus, Yedida was granted full scholarships by Udinus for her athletic feats.
“To prove myself worthy of these scholarships, I had to routinely accomplish something in each semester. These accomplishments wouldn’t be possible without the support from the campus, particularly the Student Affairs Division,” she informed. Yedida herself brought her team to win first place at the Student and Cadet Sports and Art Week XIII (Porsimaptar), which was held by the Police Academy.
Yedida expressed her pride for successfully completing her studies, and becoming a representative of other fellow graduates. She revealed that to garner achievement amidst the tight schedule of a college student, one must do every activity to their best capacity.
“So, I essentially focused on one thing at that time, like training or partaking in a championship. During the school periods, I focused on studying and doing assignments, as well as maintaining communication with faculty members,” she revealed.

At the graduation, there were three graduates with the best GPAs. One of which was a Medical Record and Health Information student by the name of Fatimatul Fahmi, A.Md. RMIK., with a total GPA of 3.63.
