Table tennis athletes from Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) once again claimed trophies in a national event. Recently, five students from Udinus wrote down their names as champions in various categories at the Indonesia Ping Pong League (IPL) Series 1 2025. The league itself was hosted weeks ago.
The league took place at the Gymnasium of Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI), Bandung, with more than 300 participants. They were scattered from 300 different table tennis clubs in Indonesia, including several foreign players. The tournament was a part of the second season of the IPL, consisting of three series and a grand finale.

Cindy Marcella Putri successfully won first place in the Women’s Group Senior category. Meanwhile, Dwi Oktaviany Sugiarto and Siti Aminah both won third place in the same category. As for the Menn’s Group Elite category, the second place was secured by Affan Mauludana Pratama and Hafidh Nuur Annafi. All those athletes were Undergraduate Management students at Udinus.
Siti Aminah admitted that although her effort did not lead her to first place, she was still proud of bringing her alma mater into the prestigious league. According to her, this could serve as a motivation for the athletes to train more diligently and brilliantly for their next spectacles, so that they can achieve better results.
“For the next target in IPL, hopefully, my team and I can be consistent and solid, as well as fix our small flaws. We will always do physical, mental, technical, and solidarity training, as these aspects can serve as keys to our success in group championships,” she emphasized.
The Head of the Student Affairs Bureau at Udinus, Prof. Dr. Rindra Yusianto, M.T., expressed his gratitude and appreciation to students for the astonishing feats of these table tennis athletes. Non-academic accomplishments can indeed be passions and positive activities for students to enjoy.
“We will certainly support all positive things for our students. We also generally guide our athletes to finish their studies, while also focusing on their athletic careers at the same time, both on the national and international levels,” he concluded.
