Faculty of Health Science (FKes) at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) keeps adding trophies to its collections. Recently, students of the Diploma of Medical Records and Health Information (RMIK) Department won third place in an event known as the Indonesian Medical Records Olympics, specifically in the Medical Record Brain Competition category.

The event itself was hosted by Universitas Gajah Mada (UGM), to which Udinus sent three of its students. The team was led by Cahya Arifina Rahma, with two other students, Aini Mustafidah and Nasywa Nabilah Febrianti.

The team leader, Cahya Arifina Rahma, expressed her pride after winning third place by accumulating 600 points in the finale. They had successfully outclassed other finalists from various universities in Indonesia.

“To come out as a finalist, we had to prepare for weeks. The preparations entailed routine studying, consulting with faculty members, answering questions, and conducting a simulation for this competition,” she revealed.

Moreover, Cahya, who is a junior student, also mentioned that the preparation did not only encompass theoretical aspects. Instead, they had to also rely on teamwork to improve solidarity and manage time.

“Three of us had the same motivations, namely, to garner experiences, hone our quick-thinking skills, and bring our alma mater to a better place. For that reason, we are so proud to win third place in this brain competition,” she continued.

Motivations to Other Students

On a separate occasion, the Head of Medical Records and Health Information at Udinus, dr. Zaenal Sugiyanto., M.Kes., expressed his pride for the groundbreaking achievement attained by three of his students. He also appreciated their effort in representing the campus at the prestigious event.

“Hopefully, this accomplishment can serve as motivation for other students to keep improving their skills, as well as inspire them to be eager and passionate in showing their best potential in trying many opportunities,” he concluded. (Humas Udinus/Penulis. Ika. Editor: Haris. Foto: Dok. Humas FKes)
