The development of its academic facilities is currently undergone by Universitas Dian Nuswantoro Udinus). Recently, the campus began construction of an office building located on Jalan Yudistira, Semarang. The construction of the L building marked the twelfth building owned by Udinus. The construction started with a groundbreaking ceremony on Friday, June 13, 2025.

The groundbreaking ceremony was led by the Chairman of the Dian Nuswantoro Foundation, Tri Roestanti, S.E., M.M., accompanied by the Head of Senate of Udinus, Prof. Dr. Ir. Edi Noersasongko, M.Kom. The session was continued by the Rector of Udinus, Prof. Dr. Pulung Nurtantio Andono, S.T., M.Kom., and the Head of the Dian Nuswantoro Foundation, Lakshiputri Arnindita, S.Sos., M.M.

There were also several prominent figures attending the groundbreaking ceremony, including the sub-district head, a local military commander, the police chief of Central Semarang, and the local headmen of Pendrikan Kidul. Their presence served as a support to synergize the connection between Udinus and the locals.

During his opening speech, the rector hoped for this construction to bring Udinus to its greater heights, allowing it to be more reputable among the public. With this new building, academic facilities, especially for students, will improve in quality.

“Hopefully, this facility will benefit the academic community optimally. This will allow our education quality to be better, with its safe, comforting, and still environment,” he revealed.

As additional information, this three-story building will later function as offices, classrooms, and a parking lot on the first floor. This construction marked the strong commitment from Udinus to providing excellent academic facilities.

Meanwhile, the Subdistrict Head of Central Semarang, Aniceto Magno Da Silva, AP., S.Sos., S.H., M.H., mentioned that Udinus was indeed an excellent campus, as it is a destination for many students, both domestic and international. Therefore, sustainable building development is needed to facilitate various academic activities.

“We and the government shall fully support the construction of this building to improve academic facilities. Wishfully, this building can respond to various kinds of needs or necessities, as well as provide comfort to the academic community and the public,” Aniceto concluded.

On that occasion, there were also several people from the academic community witnessing the groundbreaking ceremony, including vice-rectors and deans of all faculties at Udinus, as well as representatives from the Student Council of Student Family (DPM-KM).
