As a form of commitment to expanding its access and information about higher education, Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) officially opened a new marketing office in Cirebon City, West Java. The office is located at CSB Mall Berry Green, Jl. Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo was attended by the Association of Guidance and Counselling High School Teachers (MGBK) of Cirebon City on Tuesday, June 4, 2025.

The opening of this office was marked by a tumpeng-cutting session (tumpeng is Indonesian yellow rice stacked in the shape of a cone), with the tumpeng being cut by the Rector of Udinus, Prof. Dr. Pulung Nurtantio Andono, S.T., M.Kom. The tumpeng is given to the Head Senate of Udinus, Prof. Dr. Ir. Edi Noersasongko, M.Kom., and the Chief of the MGBK of High Schools in Cirebon City, Hermy Parwati, S.Pd.., who was accompanied by Sri Prihantoro, S.Pd., a representative from MGBK. 

This marketing office functions as an information center for people to know more about Udinus, including its departments, student admission systems, scholarships, and academic or non-academic activities on campus.

During his opening speech, the Rector of Udinus announced that Udinus currently has six faculties and 31 study programs or departments. “We want to ensure that the information about Udinus is accessible to the public in Cirebon and its surrounding regions (Cirebon, Indramayu, Majalengka, and Kuningan),” Prof. Pulung informed.

The opening was also attended by the Chairman of the Dian Nuswantoro Foundation—Tri Rustanti, S.E., M.M., the Head of the Dian Nuswantoro Foundation—Lakshipuri Arnindita, S.Sos., M.M., the Vice Chancellor I of Academic Affairs at Udinus—Dr. Abdul Syukur, M.M., and the Vice Chancellor II of General, Financial, and HR Affairs at Udinus—Dr. Guruh Fajar Shidik, S.Kom., M.Cs.

Meanwhile, the Chief of the MGBK of High Schools in Cirebon City expressed her joy to Udinus for helping to counsel teachers in recommending college institutions for their students. She hoped the establishment of Udinus’ new marketing office could trigger other kinds of activities, like competitions between schools.

“With this marketing office, we are so helped. It can help us receive information about Udinus for our students without having to go to Semarang,” she uttered.
