Students Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) came up with business ideas with great potential and became a spotlight at the Business Plan Competition, Hub for Ideas and Visionary (HIVE) Competition. This feat was accomplished by Maziya Afs Tsaqofi and her team, ‘Qof Fashion,’ with Sustainable Upcycle Fashion being their idea.

At the competition, Maziyah and her teammates successfully secured second place with the idea she learned last year, concerning fashion waste. Not only that, Maziyah also received support from two of her teammates, namely, Rosekhati and Deni Adelya Nurhayati.

“The business strategy we created is based on sustainability and storytelling to attract more attention from the young generation. The aim of this business is to serve as a sustainable fashion global brand from Indonesia, as well as educate the public about green fashion,” she revealed. 

Additionally, Maziyah revealed that the formation of the Qof Fashion Team happened during their attempt to participate in an entrepreneurship program facilitated by Udinus. Even though their ideas didn’t get them funded, Maziyah and her teammates decided to keep developing and perfecting this business idea. 

In the HIVE competition, participants were obliged to send their business proposals through an online platform. The top five among these proposals would eventually be presented in the finale. 

On that occasion, the Qof Fashion Team successfully earned the right to be a finalist on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, after sending their proposal. In the finale, they presented their business ideas before the judges. 

With their accomplishment, Mizayah and her teammates became more motivated to enhance their business ideas.
