Activists at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus), particularly Student Executive Board Student Family (BEM KM) have officially ended their Field Study and Community Service in nine different villages located in Kandangan Sub-district, Temanggung Regency. After it ended, all volunteers of the community service gathered at the Sub-district Hall to hold the Closing of the 2025 Activists Field Study and Community Service on Saturday, June 6, 2025.

On that occasion, the event closing started with a ceremony, symbolizing the return of the activists to Udinus. It involved Heri Nugroho, S.Sos., M.M., the Head Administrator of Kandangan Sub-district, and Prof. Kusni Ingsih, M.M., the Vice Rector III of Student Affairs at Udinus, marking the end of the 2025 Activists Field Study and Community Service.

During his opening speech, Heri Nugroho, S.Sos., M.M., expressed his and the locals’ gratitude to Udinus for the dedication shown by the activists from Udinus during the field study and community service. He revealed that the locals learned and received many things from the activists.

“We received many benefits from their service. One of which is a website handed to us on day one, as well as the initialization of road signs, which may help us navigate the road. The activists also planted trees, and many other activities that we can’t mention one by one,” he revealed.

Despite only lasting three days. Heri uttered that it did not diminish the whole meaning of this community service. The activities ran effectively. The sub-district is also open to more opportunities to work with Udinus in the future.

Timeless Bonds 

The closing agenda of the 2025 Activist Field Study and Community Service was represented by Vice Rector III of Student Affairs, Prof. Kusni. On that occasion, she invited all the activists to thank all the locals of Kandangan Sub-district for accepting them warmly and well.

“We shall thank Kandangan Sub-district for accepting us warmly and hospitably. It is indeed something to be looked up to, as we could be of some service to the locals of Kandangan,” she uttered.

Moreover, he hoped for this bonding to not only end with this community service. With this event, students are expected to attain the means for them to tackle real-world problems in the future.

“This Field Study and Community Service was conducted for symbolic purposes so that we can establish our new family with the locals of Kandangan. Hopefully, someday, we can return here, as well as other regions that have yet to be on our agenda,” she concluded.

THE PEOPLE’S PARTY: A Performance Showcasing Topeng Ireng and Kuda Lumping Emitting a Spark at the Closing of the 2025 Activist Field Study and Community Service

The closing was held on the last day of the service and also had an activity entitled ‘The People’s Party.” It started with a morning exercise and would be continued with performance arts named Topeng Ireng and Kuda Lumping, door prize raffling, and medical checkups.
