Well-implemented knowledge combined with fierce determination and dedication will certainly lead us to be successful. ‘They said that hard work pays off’ and Yandrik Wingyo Juanda, an alumnus of Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus), upheld that principle leading to him carving his very own career and business.
Currently, Yandrik is pursuing his career as an Area Sales Manager in Polaris Alkes Starindo, Ltd., supervising several regions such as Central Java, Yogyakarta, Sulawesi, and Papua. Furthermore, he also established a business named ‘CV. Asa Bayanaka’ in 2019. It served as a hospital products spare parts distributor.
“I founded this business as I saw many opportunities in this sector. Moreover, Indonesian people including commoners, government, and health institutions are starting to be aware that equipping health facilities and infrastructures is crucial,” Yandrik explained.
As a worker and entrepreneur, Yandrik, an alumnus of the 2000 cohort in the Informatics Study Program, revealed that being an employee and an employer had their own difficulties.
“Honestly, two of those things are both complex and simple depending on how you look at it. As a worker, all we have to do is run our jobs according to the program, but we must involve the central management for permission. Whereas, an entrepreneur could just make decisions but they need funds in order to do so,” he revealed.
In 2018, Yandrik decided to continue his study as a postgraduate Management student at Udinus. He said that the study program aligned with his job.
“The courses in the Postgraduate Management Study Program at Udinus are truly helpful to be implemented in my current job. Marketing, Financial, and Human Resources Theories align perfectly with my job as an Area Sales Manager,” Yandrik, born in 1983, claimed.
Yandrik encouraged the students at Udinus to diligently study and utilize their knowledge to its fullest extent. In addition, he also reminded them to always be grateful and to constantly pray.
“To be an entrepreneur, we need to focus on our interests as it could serve as a business idea. Furthermore, don’t you ever get easily satisfied, instead, you need to learn and discuss more with professionals,” he concluded. (Humas Udinus/Ika. Foto: Dok. Pribadi)
