Countless accomplishments have been attained by students at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) over the years. Recently, two Medical Records students at Udinus secured third place in two different contests and categories.
The accomplishments of Umi Sa’diyah by winning first place in the scientific paper category at the 2022 Management Health Information Competence. The contest was hosted by the Mitra Husada Medical College. Her success at the contest was a product of her dedication to writing her paper entitled ‘The Framework of Android-based Reimbursement Claim App.’
Umi Sa’diya, a student of the 2020 cohort, also successfully secured third place in the same category at a contest held by the Vocational Medical School (Poltekkes) of Semarang. Another student, Dewi Rahayuning Swakarini, a Medical Records student of the 2020 cohort, also managed to claim third place in the Coding Competition category. Those three accomplishments were truly remarkable as it took effort to win over a hundred contestants to get them.
Despite their short preparations, Umi Sa’diyah and Dewi Rahayuning Swakarini were able to showcase their dedication and won third place at those prestigious events.
During her interview, Umi Sa’diyah claimed that she did not expect to win in two different contests at once. Her only-a-week preparation did not apparently hinder her from being accomplished on the national level. Furthermore, she revealed that the first place she attained times prior was a neat experience of her finally winning after losing various contests.
“Before this, I also participated in five different scientific paper contests and unfortunately, I did not win any of them. However, this loss only made me more motivated to work even harder, which led to this very moment where I finally can make a bright name for the campus,” she uttered.
Additionally, Dewi Rahayuning Swakarini also showed deep persistence, leading to her being accomplished and gaining campus popularity on the national level. Her fondness for coding medical records was showcased by achieving third place at the Coding Competition times prior.
“If we participated in a category of our interest, we would not be stressed out. This very accomplishment is the proof of this. Hopefully, we can get even better accomplishments in other contests,” she said.
Those three accomplishments attained by two Medical Records students were prideworthy as they could claim victory over other hundreds of participants. Currently, the Diploma of Medical Records and Information Program has been accredited as Excellent.
Enny Rachmany, SKM., M.Kom., Ph.D., the Dean of the Health Science Faculty at Udinus, expressed his pride for the accomplishments garnered by Umi Sa’diyah and Dewi Rahayuning Swakarini. She further hoped for other students of the Health Science Faculty to follow in their footsteps.
“Hopefully, the achievements attained by Umi Sa’diyah and Dewi Rahayuning Swakarini can motivate other students to also be accomplished in both academic and non-academic fields,” she concluded. (Humas Udinus/Alex. Foto: Humas Udinus)
