The Economics and Business Faculty at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) featured a Turkish speaker to discuss financial management at a webinar. The webinar was attended by hundreds of Management students. It was held online through the Zoom Meeting platform on Thursday, September 15th, 2022.
That international webinar employed the theme ‘Financial Management in Disruption Era 0.5: Investment Appraisal Based on Cash Flow.’ It was participated by 214 consisting of foreign students and those who took the Financial Management course.
The webinar was officially opened by Prof. Vincent Didiek Wiet Wiet Aryanto MBA., Ph.D., (the Dean of the Economics and Business Faculty). It was moderated by Ana Kadarningsih, S.E., Akt., M.M., (a faculty member from the Management Department), with other faculty members also witnessing the event.
The topic was discussed by a Pakistani Associate Professor from the Department of Business Administration at Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University Pakistan, Dr. Nawaz Ahmad. On that occasion, he discussed learning materials surrounding Investment Appraisal.
During the webinar, Dr. Nawaz explained various aspects of project investments. One of those aspects was seeing the future benefits of the investment. Furthermore, he also highlighted that evaluating if the investment value was going to increase or not was also important.
“During investment, we need to ensure that there will be positive changes so that we will not experience losses later on. For those who are still new to investment, I would recommend you to invest in multiple projects with low risks, as well as not to put too much value on those projects,” he encouraged.
Meanwhile, Prof. Vincent Didiek Wiet Aryanto MBA, Ph.D., (the Dean of the Economics and Business Faculty) hoped for all students to learn from the Pakistani Associate Professor. This is because investing assessment would later allow students to be more informed about starting investments on various projects.
“We routinely feature international speakers to share their knowledge with our students. Hopefully, our students can put this opportunity in their favor to the fullest extent,” the dean concluded. (Humas UDinus/Diandra. Foto: Humas Udinus)
